This was such a tear-dropping race, watching Eliud Kipchoge walk, ... And kenenisa Bekele way behind.. Was just too much for me, anyway congrats to Tamirat Tola and Abdi Bashir, well deserved... Waiting for next video on this channel to narrate and defend this situation

With due respects to both Kipchoge and Bekele... I don't think either will medal. That said, if they continue running, I have no doubt they'll rewrite the masters record books.

In all honesty, I don’t expect medals from either of the Goats but it’s definitely exciting to watch these two East African Kings race each other one more time!

For anyone in Brisbane Australia, you probably heard me crying throughout the race after kipchoge faded.

It was pretty much a farewell run of those two.
BTW it was really cool to see three legends together in the same place/event, Kipchoge, Bekele but also Gebrselassie on location! (who better than him to do the intro ceremony of the marathon)

It's really sad that Kipchoge did not finish in the olympic marathon in Paris :( For me, it would have been a great moment and a succes to see him finish the race, even in last place. It looked like he had problems with his hips. Anyways, I hope we'll see him run again, and at least finish a marathon! Would be a very sad retirement otherwise...

I'm very pleased about Bekele finishing the marathon in the 39/81. He is 42 years old, and still able to compete on the very elite level!
I think that both Kipchoge and Bekele would have been able to compete better on a flat course, but it is what it is :p

Huge respect for all of the competitors, and especially congrats to Tola, Abdi and Kipruto. And I'm also very impressed by Akasaki, who came in in 6. place!

It was an incredible marathon, the crowd was crazy, as well as the difficulty of the course! I wish all the competitors the best and still hope to see Bekele and Kipochge run a few more marathons, even if they probably won't be able to get to the podium.

Bekele or Kipchoge didn’t win, but to see them run and know what they “feel” (YOU MUST HAVE RUN THE 42Kilometer yourself for this) in their body. That is great already. This two BIG ONES in running, is beter to watch than any football match.

Knew Tola would win after the New York Marathon performance. He seems to be a beast in a hilly course.

Kiptum would win the gold if he still around. RIP

Dude it's gonna be 2 AM in New York when the race begins and it will go on for at least 2 hours. I already didn't sleep well yesterday coz I had an exam but honestly I can't care less about sleep rn... THIS IS THE LAST DANCE YALL are you kidding me! 2 FREAKING DECADES of performing at the top. What a fitting farewell for these two GOATS regardless of them medalling ❤ I'm just here to see them one last time racing idc

I will be pleased to see either one of these two greats win any medal even if it isn’t the gold.

This is going to be an incredible race, absolutely cannot wait to watch these athletes reach for the stars! C'mon Kipchoge and Bekele, two of the best humans.

Sad that it ended with Bekele way down the field, and a Kipchoge DNF - gutting. But to take nothing away from these two, they are already legends.

It looked a hilly course and heat conditions made for younger men, and so it proved. Congrats Tamirat Tola, incredible performance.
