39 YEARS greatest marathon runner of all times....never done a DNF are all human and we age...The mind is willing but the body is not at some time in one's life. What happened to Eliud happens to ALL OF US EVENTUALLY. I love the answer he gave when asked what happened. He is still the GOAT.

People talking about his age and not being in his prime. Runners younger than him DNF. Every runner, no matter their age, experience etc, will have off days where their bodies say no. This was not his race and he gracefully accepted that.

HE IS THE KING no matter what, and I feel so happy to live in his same life time

I love how he had a bad day at the office, and fans still supported and loved him. Speaks so much to his character outside of his incredible running career!

You gotta look into Yaseen Abdalla! Ran his first marathon at the Olympics and did really well!

Great videos as always. A minor but relevant thing: I love the narration. No upspeak. No dragged out syllables. Makes it listenable unlike so much else on YouTube. Guy loves running and just wants to bring us the insight.

Kipchoge is just a human with exceptional ability to run. He is humble, approachable, and great. Don't forget that he is already 39 and for most runners it's time to relax.

When he is 50, he will probably still be World Class.

He's just passed his best, he's not the same level as someone like Tola especially on a mountainous course

Sometimes you see GOATS crown their career with another major success (i.e. Messi winning the World Cup), sometimes you see them DNF, but that’s life. Doesn’t make these GOATS any less amazing.

The wear and tear of a decades long professional athletic career sure do knock on his door, but he still has many years of running ahead of him. On whatever level or on whatever distance, does it really matter?
What impressed me the most about Eliud Kipchoge is his demeanor, mindset, and working spirit. It’s his performances as well, sure, but once you start paying attention to what he is saying and how he’s conducting himself, you can’t help but like the guy and be inspired. He’s here to stay but people are superficial morons, as seen with the 180 many did with the emergence of Kelvin Kiptum: win races and break records, and you’ll be celebrated, worshipped and loved, they’ll adore you as if they know you personally.
People bowed to Kipchoge as long as he was winning, and all of a sudden, with Kiptum taking over, they found their new hero in Kiptum and left Kipchoge in the dust like a disposable object. Suddenly, all you hear is criticism, mockery, calls for retirement and other disrespectful behavior. We should stop seeing runners as only valuable as long as they break records and win races. To reduce a person to nothing but their performance results is twisted and disrespectful.
