I'm tired of Becky complaining, pull yourself up by the bootstraps like me.

I went to college and dealt with the bs of job finding. I started my own business and don’t regret it.

It could be much worse, she could be a black college graduate looking for a job.

As a black man, it has been 4 years for me without a job. I have submitted over 1, 000 applications since 2020. No matter how often I changed my resume, I got rejection letters saying I wasn't qualified or overqualified. I got sick of hearing the saying we liked you, but we decided to go in another direction. I have a Bachelor's and will be done with my Master's this summer from Law School. I will make sure that I will never go through this again. I understand my purpose now, and the ancestors will help me obtain my just due even though it is long overdue. Things are changing, and individuals are reaping what they sow. This is the year of the 8; what goes around comes around. Thank God I'm black!!!!

I feel sorry for NONE of them.

When I graduated back om 2012 and 2015, I was beyond frustrated having a MASTER'S DEGREE and not getting hired.

The same YT classmates that graduated with me and were handed cush jobs told me I was whiny, entitled, and lazy.

They told me to go to McDonald's, go be a waitress WITH A MASTER'S DEGREE (more education than THEY have).

Her people told me ALL of that when I was struggling to land a job.

No sympathy from me whatsoever.

I'm glad the tables are turning.

They didn't forget that the position was already filled. They just decided after 5 minutes that they didn't want to hire her. Same thing happened to us when they used to do phone interviews. We'd pass that, but when we reported for orientation, they'd claim that the position was already filled and they forgot to inform us.

Everyone is OK with suffering and injustice so long as it’s ONLY happening to us (FBAs)!

As Seiji Hito said it best "What they allowed to happen to us? Is now happening to them!"

"Chickens have come home to roost!" Quote by the legendary Malcolm X who prophetically warned about this.

Some of those employers probably pulled that "YOU'RE OVERQUALIFIED" crap.

Black people have been experiencing this for forever; it’s all we know. When we didn’t have education, we weren’t qualified because we didn’t have college degrees. Getting a college degree was drummed into us. I drummed it into my kids. Completed college, 5-6 figures in debt, with similar pedigrees and now everyone is hiring for “experience”. I have an advanced degree + 30+ year work history and I work with some people that are younger than me, have less experience than me, have whole high diplomas and earn more than I do.
All I can say is welcome to lifetime of “unfairness”.

What they don't understand is that their own don't mind losing a few of them along the way

I told a white guy that if he wanted to know the future of white people just pay attention to black people. He had no comment...you can imagine the look on his face. I'm sure you have seen that look before.

Honestly, most employers are thinking more along the lines of layoffs than hiring.
