I was a Calvinist for 10 years! I’m so glad to be free of that man made tradition. I remember a long time ago my cousin who’s an Arminian. He said you can’t follow Jesus if you follow John Calvin, I said well you follow Jacob Arminius and he said who’s that? I said if you don’t know then why are you in his church? He said it’s the church of Christ, I said I think that’s what Calvinism is. Man we were just blind rats crawling around in a bag back then. Totally lost, thank god for Catholicism!!!

It’s funny.
I’m a former Protestant and I feel as though John’s words brought me to the Catholic Church.
Never heard his rhetoric until after my conversion. Most happy to be a Catholic and can’t figure out what hasn’t led every Christian back to the church.
It’s just that you kinda have to deny much of what is actually taught in “the 66” or you have to realize the most Holy Sacrament as truth.

That is funny. A Calvinist telling people who follow the Apostolic Church for guidance, are following a false god. 2000 years the mother church has been teaching the Good News of the Triune God. It is truly amazing.

There are so many heresies and false doctrine in the Catholic Church I could go on for hours. The Catholic Church falls on this one doctrine. That the Bible says Eph 2:8 “we are saved by faith, it is a gift of God lest no man can boast”. It is the Holy Spirit that gives us the faith to believe.
The Catholic Church says “Christ’s death on the cross is almost sufficient for salvation. It must be accompanied by works and devotion to the Church”
The Bible tells us that if we try to earn our salvation there is no salvation “nothing remains”.
Works is the fruit and evidence of a changed life. God even tells us that our good deeds are filthy rags compared to his gift of salvation. I cannot stress the importance of understanding this distinction. Without the wooing of the Holy Spirit no one would be saved.
There is also Idol worship, praying to Mary and so called saints. I know the Catholic Church tries to spin this, we are not worshiping Mary, just asking for help. There is zero in the King James Bible, which is from the original text. The Catholics have the book of Mary. If you can go to the Catholic Church and not be appalled at the unbiblical things taking place you are likely right where you deserve to be. You love the Church more than you love God’s Word. The Word is God. John 1.

John is a true believer however even Martin Luther prayed fervently to The Ever Virgin Mary. Protestants don't have a complete Bible which every historical liturgical library confirms the Catholic religion to have all records and documents proving the New testament is a Catholic Bible.
James on works is the epistle that all Protestants should read and believe in.

And Mary is not the queen of heaven. She is not Gods mother she gave birth to Jesus's earthly body but she is what scripture says she was nothing more n nothing less. She was also born like everyone else and died like everyone else. She was a wonderful amazing woman and she was picked by God to birth Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior that doesn't mean my salvation is tied to her. Salvation thru Jesus Christ alone

Catholics have had the same tradition for 2000 years? I won’t even say anything because biased minds won’t believe my words. Instead read the words of your own people. 1) read the book the glories of mary. 2) read the books former popes have written. 3) read all that occurred during the sessions of council of Trent which was in the 1500s. (Indulgences, mandatory annual confession to a priest, veneration of relics, purgatory were introduced among others) 4) the doctrine of papal infallibility went into effect in the year 1869. The pope is infallible yet many catholic bishops are in public defiance and outcry of his stances which defies Catholicism’s own doctrine. 5) in 2007 pope Benedict signed a recommendation stating the concept of limbo be dropped. 6) Transubstantiation defined by the 4th council of the Lateran in 1215ad and council of Trent in the 1500s redefined the doctorine.
