When I was there, my favourite ways to get around were walking & the metro ☺️

Paris metro is incredible and I enjoy using it. Taxi is an amazing choice as well, just walk as long as you can then when you’re about ready to drop, grab a taxi. Taxis aren’t always available so you might need to schedule Uber. Walking is always the preferable transportation in Paris. It’s the most beautiful city in the world and you want to take it in.

Paris’s metro system is incredibly well-connected and convenient.

The Metro is the most convenient, cost-effective, and environmentally responsible. Thought Paris had replaced the Metro single-ride paper tickets with the travel cards. But then the travel card will probably doesn't offer the 10-ticket discount, which is a bummer because it's a very good deal.

He forgot to mention the bus - it's often more direct than the métro and even faster. It's also as inexpensive as the métro and you get to see Paris as you go.

"Carrying a map is cliche"?? A map will never let you down. It will never run out of battery, lose signal, never die when it gets wet and nobody will ever steal it! And carrying a phone out in front of you whilst staring at it is probably the best way to get your phone stolen in Paris!

Great tips! One more con to the subway: You do not see any sights en route & do not get to learn the basic layout of the city as you would with the other choices.

How easy is it to connect to different lines? We will be staying in the 11th district and some of our tours tell us to use either the 4 or 6 line for example but those lines are listed at the 4 different metros that are close to our hotel.
