How To Build Massive Calves (EVEN WITH BAD CALF GENETICS!)

If you want to grow bigger calves you need to be nailing these three things:
Firstly, understand that in order to grow you a muscle, you simply have to train it. That’s first and foremost. Pay your calves the attention they so willingly deserve.

Secondly, tempo, tempo, tempo. It’s everything when it comes to calf training. Bouncing up and down on the seated calf raise will do you no good. All that’s being worked is your ego and your ankle flexion. Instead, slow everything down!

Last, but not least, frequency! It’s a common misconception for people to train their calves every single day. If you’re actually training them hard, it’s not plausible. I’d recommend 2-3x per week of proper calf training. Incorporating a combination of low heavy reps, and high lighter reps. Variance is key. Most importantly - don’t use a weight you can’t handle. Drop your ego at the door and focus in on HOW you’re lifting the weight, rather than HOW much!
Bonus tip: get made at your parents for not blessing you with better calf genetics

I’ve been trying to train so hard and when I got cancer I’ve lost all my muscle mass and strength. I haven’t given up as it’s my passion to be healthy, it makes me so happy to train but when I get infections I loss all that hard work on my body and have to start again. It’s frustrating but I don’t want to give up as I want to achieve that goal

With this competition it’s great as it’s more motivation

First of all thanks for the opportunity brother !!
what motivates me to work out daily is the changes that I see mentally and physically thought every single workout, seeing my health up again as well as learning as much as possible of the form, techniques and nutrition so I can help my friends through their journey.
I want to win this giveaway because I love the brand and the GYMSHARK family itself, I really like their clothing and especially the message they want to give out to the community to BE A VISIONARY.

1. Just knowing that I won something from you is a good enough reason for me.
2. I train to build up muscle and confidence in the same time.
Btw a big thank you, your advice really helped me get those abs to show. 😊

One legged calf raise, straight for gastronemius, knees bend for soleus, tibialis anterior well anywhere you can perform. Jump skip rope by hopping one leg till failure 2-3 sets each leg. Massage and stretches after workout. Three times a week is good other than that goid video young man!

"Why you want to win the giveaway?"
"What motivates you to work out?"
A) I started my weight loss journey over two years ago and I live in the gym here lately. Well, technically i do calisthenics😂 . Since my weight loss, all my old clothes now fit like dresses. Some of my old shirts I've even cut up into sleeveless shirts to work out in. Winning this contest would mark the beginning of a new wardrobe for me. Setting the tone for the rest of my life as I continue on this fitness lifestyle.

B) I have a handsome 8-year-old son that I strive to be an example of strength for every day. We workout and meditate together every time he comes to visit. I want to stronger not only for him but for his children. I want to be the shining example of unlimited possibilities, FULFILLED.

Congrats on 500K. Here's to the road to 1M 🍾🥂🎊🎉.

One thing I do: Work them first, when I have the most energy.

I work out to motivate others and help them out. People come to me because they just want something light to move around each day, because they are moms and have no time, what ever goal they have in mind I work it threw with them on the basics. Helping people out is the most gratifying thing for me in life, in fitness and being also as a Chef. Back in 2017 I developed a trigger finger and loss of strength in my hands which took a toll on my over all fitness lifestyle. I had to readjust everything. This gymshark give away would just bump my spirit up to keep on thriving for those who watch me and look up to me for fitness here in Puerto Rico.

Hey Fraser,
1.I want it cause it is just a big pride and honour to wear gymshark. I think you understand cause you are sponsored by them and it is such a blessing (you 💯%deserve it though).
2. What motivates me to workout, it tough to say because motivation is temporary, it gets you started but discipline is the key for consistency, so f**k motivation. It's just a habit that makes me happy. It gives me a sense of fulfillment. And that's what I want, living life to the fullest.

1. Firstly I’ve never won anything in my life. And secondly I’d love some gymshark apparel just to improve my gym attire. It’s been really weak lately and flexing with some gymshark apparel will boost my confidence. I just really want something Gymshark but they all so expensive. Would love to win this.

2. Ahh gym is my life. Started it 3 years ago and never stopped. I can’t get enough of it and I just love training and working on my body and seeing results. It’s an amazing hobby as it keeps you healthy and in shape especially if your diet is on point. I wish I could do this for a living lol. I’m actually addicted 🙃

Great video, thanks! :D I'm a lanky fella, so definitely can use the genetics excuse, a bit. I'll heed your advice nonetheless!

For the competition:

Gymshark clothes seem the perfect balance between comfort, style and high tech material that'd help against the elements faced with training. Also, i live in Vietnam, and it's very difficult to find Western clothes!

My motivation is mainly aesthetics, but definitely health too with a sprinkling of Arnie being an idol growing up! What a ledgo!

P.S (think you meant mad, not made)

Let's grow them baby calves do do do do do do! (Sorry, I'm an English teacher, couldn't help it)

I know exercise is so incredibly important to be happy, and I can never afford and real gymwear and equipment. My motivation is to be better than I was yesterday, so I can be happier and stronger tommorow

I'm wondering if calves actually need more time to recover than any other muscle, I mean we work them hard in the gym then they are forced to move us around all day.

What has worked for me is daily pump training and stretching. That helped me build a mind body connection. My calfs now are a bit below average rather than just pathetic.
