Great charger, ruined by a cowboy install. I go to so many poorly installed and commissioned chargers its depressing!

I did a diy installation of a zappi, and I had no issue getting the screw in the top hole.

This is just awful.

The brick at the end (LBC Regency) has been laid frog down, hence the air gap……..not excusing the poor mounting, but that hasn’t helped.

When drilling masonry or brickwork if drilling near edges or mortar I turn off the hammer action to avoid breaking it up like what happened in this vid.

It's so easy to install. A diy-er could do it. 😮

I went to a zappi someone had installed (big company may I add) and had the ct clamp inside the charger and no hub ( before the hub was built in) guy admitted to client he didint know what to do as he had never done one before 😂

I just installed one of these today, they are one of the easiest thing to install they even give you a template on the box so you can do the holes for the screws, how did they screw this up?

Took me a minute to realize that Zappi was a brand name and not a nickname for the type of sparky who does poor installs like that.

Expected better from Artisan electric, sorting out their previous install.

Drilling into the grout. Always a 'solid' idea. (*cough*)

Boss, we ran out of chemical, 'what else do you have in your van?'

The inappropriate attachment style is bad but the location is absolutely horrendous! Above any tap is a horrible idea given what generally happens when the hose hardware gives up the ghost or disconnects due to overpressure. Deathtrap in potentia...

Have you heard about the new regs having chargers 7 meters away? Does that mean the government are going to give more grants to have them moved?

The big purple company with tentacles sent out plumbing and heating engineers to fit car chargers and smart meters. Many of these companies take on random people, give them basic electrical courses (Give you the product manual) and away you go. Electrical works were always done by highly skilled professionals like yourself, now with corporations you work under their umbrella and they only give you enough information to get the job done. If they pay for qualifications you might leave the company so they won't invest. If you are that passionate about your trade then all you need to know is English traditional common law against the European system of Civil code and UCC contracts
