Similarly, if the object is moving, it has kinetic energy in addition to its rest energy. The total energy of the object is given by the equation E=mc^2 + (1/2)mv^2, where v is the velocity of the object.

In summary, the equation E=mc^2 expresses the equivalence of mass and energy and is a fundamental principle of modern physics.

Einstein didn't discover photoelectric effect, he explained it using planks quantization theory. Photoelectric effect was observed by many scientists like Lenard, Hertz etc.
