I'm glad she said, "Some of them". As a teacher and former foster parent, I've seen both.

Intergenerational racial trauma is real.

Changing legacies is real also.

I agree to a point since black people in general don't get the respect they deserve most try to push their kids not to be a statistic jail drugs single moms baby daddy killers that's the picture they paint of us and what the world seems to think of us and these new parents don't teach there kids much but video games and cell phones and just be free...we had more respect when we stood for our people and black people were actually family now and days black people for are for self and standing with people that hate them..so yes I'll push my kid to be better than me then being a world stat...
