Vegan Chicken Pot Pie

Ingredients:

Vegan chicken broth:

3 cups of water
3 teaspoons Better than Bouillon No Chicken base

Vegan chicken:

2 cups of soy curls
1 cup vegan chicken broth
2 tablespoons of soy sauce
½ teaspoon of poultry seasoning

Seasoned salt:

2 tablespoons of sea salt
2 teaspoons of sugar
1 ½ teaspoon of paprika
½ teaspoon of black pepper
¼ teaspoon turmeric
¼ teaspoon of onion powder
¼ teaspoon of garlic powder

Vegan chicken pot pie filling:

2 russet potatoes
1/2 cup of vegan butter
1 teaspoon onion powder
½ cup all purpose flour
2 cups of vegan chicken broth
1 cup of almond milk
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
¼ teaspoon of black pepper
¼ teaspoon of garlic powder
½ teaspoon of dried thyme
1 ½ cups of frozen peas and carrots
pie crust

Over where I live we have an Indian store called Patels brothers. They carry swad brand and nutrilla brand soya chunks. Just boil and squeeze out the water; very similar to soy curls.

Nicely done man! Great idea using the soy curls.. We used the gardein chickn and cut them smaller when we made a similar recipe... it's so freakin' good. We had to stop making them because we ate so much of it ;)

What exactly are soy curls, and where would one find them in a grocery store?

Any idea what I could substitute for the soy curls? I can't get them here in Tasmania :(
