Oshi no Ko is Getting a Worse Ending Than Jujutsu Kaisen Right Now...

Oshi no Ko Chapter 163 came out officially yesterday, but not even a day later leaks / spoilers for OnK Chapter 164 is already floating around. Two weeks ago Aka and Mengo-sensei revealed Oshi no Ko will be ending in 5 chapters on November 14 2024. So with the latest chapters the plot points are starting to feel all over the place and it gives me the same vibe as JJK / Jujutsu Kaisen's Manga Ending about a month ago.

Manga and rushed endings go hand in hand

In literally one of the first chapters it shows aqua manipulating ruby to keep her from being an idol. It's quite literally always been there. It doesn't help his revenge for him to avoid Ruby becoming an idol- he's doing that to protect her.

Aqua story ended with him sacrificing himself, but out of love for Ruby instead of hate for Kamiki.

I dont know why manga authors dont do what webtoon authors do and break up their time into seasons with large breaks inbetween for rest and recovery. This whole one shot write until you break or ruin your story shit aint it

Wouldn't it be cool if...
Aqua wakes up from the 'Dream'.
Everthing is as it should be - except he slept through the concert.
He wakes up to the scorn of Ruby, Kana, and Mem-cho.
But there's something else...
The news is breaking about the death of his father, who toppled off a cliff into a large body of water.

fast paced ending=bad, long ahh ending=luck luster, there will never be a "perfect ending" the ending we are given from the author we must accept cuz its their story not ours, but it is sad for stories that have a lot more potential for their endings end up going the wrong route most of the time, and when some authors try to fix their endings it mostly end up getting worse...

I think this is still save able as long as in the anime they expand on the stuff they're rushing, and while keeping the same story they change the vibe and add a lot more context. Not against a different ending tho. So many ass endings for manga recently that the fans really deserve an anime original ending that just fixes the mistakes

I don't think Aqua died ... I think he was in limbo on the verge of death. Someone found him and brought him to a hospital, where they then revived him, hence the whole "limbo" scene and him disappearing from there. He was simply resuscitated ... it wouldn't make sense to kill him off, nor does it make sense to reincarnate him into "Ruby's Child." Hell, even if the author went completely wacky and reincarnated him, they would probably reincarnate him as someone else's child or in someone completely different so they can force some kind of relationship between them. I don't believe that's ever going to happen though; the former claim of them resuscitating him is more likely.

At this point, is it really the editors fault or the authors themselves? Especially with JJK, I feel like the editors would've probably made it longer then when gege decided to end it in jjks case and maybe oshi no ko rn

Ngl it’s not rushed, it’s not jjk with all these plot points that lead nowhere and all the loose ends at the end, I think everything is explained and there’s still 5 chapters that in my opinion more than enough to wrap up the story based on where it’s currently at (only 3 now but still same)
