This looks so good!!!! A quick island geology note: an atoll is also a thing, it wasn’t just Katelyn forgetting the word archipelago! An atoll happens when you have a volcanic island in a place where coral can grow, and in all the shallows around the island a coral reef grows. Then, as the volcanism subsides, the island will become a donut shape, with basically a ring of coral island around a center lagoon where the island was originally. So this clock kind of is an atoll! I feel like it’s a volcanic island with a super super long recharge period. So the island was basically gone, and the ring of coral islands had formed, and then the center island reformed during a period of volcanism.

So not only is this beautiful, it’s also geologically accurate(ish)!
