It can be very difficult to live with a liar that seems to believe their own lies. We aren't imagining things when we feel as if we live in a different reality from the narcissist.

The narc that I was with got highly offended when you corrected him and he would twist the facts to point out some idiosyncratic relevance to his mistatements. For example, if he said, "Today is Monday". And you pointed to a calendar that showed that today is actually Tuesday. He would say, "Well, it WAS Monday yesterday!". Yes, I'm shaking my head right now!

You’ve provided one of the best descriptions of narcissistic dishonesty that I’ve heard. However, I guess I am not inclined to be as gracious in response as you. My response is, “if you want to continue living in a false reality, that’s your prerogative, but I won’t be dragged into it. If you want to have a real conversation about this matter, you need to cut the crap.” Then I leave the room. I realize it’s futile to even say that much, but I’ve made my point clear, and if they want my attention, they will need to adjust their behavior. Thank you so much for sharing this video. Absolutely everything you said applies to the person I was just in a relationship for 1 year and 3 months... It's amazing how you were describing my ex boyfriend with everything you said... I wish I did my research beforehand to save myself all the energy, time and financial resources I spent on this person, also all the pain and suffering it caused me... Now I realise that everything he said (that he loved me, cared for me, was in love with me, etc) was a lie, to keep me there, and keep hurting me but pretend that he is not doing it. I have learnt a huge lesson with this experience but I have costed me big, I've aged from being with this person and it affected my health as well.

I never leave comments. But I MUST after watching this. I have watched maybe 200 or so videos on Narcissistic abuse in the last two months. I always knew my partner had a personality; it disorder of some kind, but after narrowing down and testing out certain theories, I have become 100% convinced she is a narcissist. BOTTOM LINE. after watching the Narssiist abuse videos and relating more than any video at ALL on YouTube, and after watching this video.... I swear to god, this young woman IN THE VIDEO WE JUST WATCH ABOVE was coming over to my house, sneaking around the windows and cracks, planting bugs and cameras- BECAUSE there is no way in hell... that anyone could be this perfectly and insightfully accurate I mean she described my baby momma so close so perfect, I🤯 started to cry. she used the same words I would use and everything. I pummel Narcissist’s ego all day and everyday for fun. It’s a skill and talent. If you don’t know how to stand up and defeat a narc, you will forever be bullied, lied, manipulated and betrayed. They exist everywhere in our society, and in our family. So it’s better people learn this skill or you will continue to run into them over and over.
