As an 842 year old man, I have no issue belieiving these people reached these ages.

The oldest person on record is a French woman who died at 122 years old (Jeanne Louise Calment), everything else is false.

The sad thing is that there is many people who claim to be older than 130 years but they were born on rural countries where birth certificates werent a thing until recent times so only old people from developed countries get recognition.

Jeanne Louise Calment is the oldest verified person to have ever lived. The Frenchwoman lived to the ripe old age of 122 years and 164 days old. She was born on 21 February 1875 and passed away aged 122 on 4 August 1997. She outlived the next oldest person by 3 years so it’s extremely rare to reach 120+.
Almost all the oldest people who ever lived were women.
The oldest man who ever lived was Jiroemon Kimura from Japan who lived to be 116 years, 54 days when he died 12 June 2013. 24 women outlived him.
