I would love more female-specific insight on fitness ❤

One of my period symptoms is literally I feel like skipping my workouts. I run every day, so my period is like, "If you don't take a break, the break will take you 💀"

Oh yes I agree😊 here’s a sample for proper training for each cycle:

(Days 1-7)Menstrual: Walking, light Pilates

(8-14)Follicular: Strength training, light HIIT

(15-18)Ovulatory: HIIT

( variable, should be around 12-14 days)Luteal: low impact strength

Diet during each phase is also important:
Menstrual: Healthy fats, omega 3’s, Protein, warming foods

Follicular: High fiber, more greens and veggies

Ovulatory: Vitamins, minerals, fiber, protein

Luteal: Potassium and magnesium rich foods,

Other things to incorporate: Magnesium, Bone broth, collagen, dates, hemp seeds

Menstrual and Follicular: 1tb Flax and pumpkin daily
Ovulatory and Luteal: 1tb sunflower and sesame daily

This is very true. Recently I started working out heavily very abruptly. My period then came about 2 weeks early and I had terrible cramps. When I took a break my period FINALY got back to normal. This is so true

Yes so true! My period stopped for 1 whole year becos i was exercising 5 times a week for over 2hrs a day. I decreased the intensity and started exercising 3 times a week for 1hr or so only and my period finally came back. Funnily enough, my back pain and knee pain decreased significantly after i stopped working out so much. Women need much more rest days than men because of all the extra hormones we have. Take note ladies!! We deserve to rest!!

I hate that so many fitness influencers only talk about men without even mentioning women. Thank you!!!

That’s true, I was a professional swimmer in my 6-19 y.o., so I had too much trainings in my childhood, consequently I did not have my period until 16🤯

I actually so appreciate that she gives fitness advice but doesnt do body checks in every short or thumbnail. From the girls trying to improve their health and self-confidence, you are an sinpiration and you are so appreciated. Thank you for the fitness content without the insecurity inducing body checks, calory counting, or excessive posing/flexing. <3

I'm in the luteal phase, literally a day or so from my period and I'm feeling it BIG time. Mood swings, feeling tired and bloated but I'm trying to focus on the positives which are to allow myself to slow down, do more relaxing activities and soothing movements, and tuning in. Every phase of our cycle serves a purpose. Embracing all of them respectfully is important to feeling our best. ❤️

I make my period days into my bonus rest days from working out. It really helps. I like the points that annanas made in this video. It bothered me for a long time when female fitness trainers said “do this everyday” and they never mentioned whether or not to workout while on your monthly, it bothered me so much it made me feel like I was failing my exercise programs because I had to rest and it led to me giving up. Glad I changed my fitness routine to involve listening to and nurturing my body more.

I’ve recently started working out and haven’t got my period for 3 months now. I don’t even overdo it at the gym, take breaks and eat pretty normally. It’s really frustrating. I’ve struggled with PCOS so I can’t even tell what’s messing with my period now. Ironically I started exercising because it was supposed to help with the PCOS symptoms.

I’m so addicted to my workouts, they help me feel good and if I don’t exercise for even just one day I get nervous, but my period doesn’t seem to agree… Us women are so delicate creatures 😫

I followed a lot of male fitness influencers and a lot of their diets and workouts didn’t work for me. Every since I found you I’ve been better, healthier, and my period has been more regular. I mainly follow you now :)

Thank you very much. I needed to see this video. I was training very hard and my period started to go away. I was very scared and scared. It eventually came back because I cut back on my workouts and included high-calorie foods in my diet. I really appreciate your video making. Always be happy and thank you again that I found you on YouTube, that there is someone like you on YouTube.

I cannot explain enough how much motivating you are❤. Your videos act as reminders that this healthy lifestyle is a consistent choice and its okay to eat junks once or twice just to break the boredom, to have a balance. Stay blessed love

My cycle is regular ever since, normal period and all. But then last year I was diagnosed with adenomyosis, I got very fat that time and ate unhealthy foods (you'lll experience symptoms like prolong heavy period with blood clots and super painful cramps). But since I am losing weight now and also doing Anna's 30 minute Tabata or HIIT exercise every other day, my period came back to being normal, it's a miracle! Thank God! Thanks Anna! ☺️🙌🏻

True, when i did diet to loose my weight due to extreme pressure of eating healthy and working out 2× a day made my period days less . I had improper period for months sometimes it used to be heavy and sometime less like drop . I focused too much on eating healthy and not having a balance meal

Love this video!! I’m a registered dietitian. The pnly thing that really isn’t true is that women’s nutritional needs are different from men’s. Every individual person has a different metabolic rate therefore making everyone’s energy needs different, but when it comes to macros/vitamins “aka nutritional needs”, only changes depending on your fitness goals.
