It’s not a surprise, air used to mean lite when it was first released and pretty much had the same specs as the pro iPads or the more expensive ones. Air has switched from being lite in weight to being lighter on features. Apple doesn’t care about its weight anymore and simply cares about it being the mid tier tablet in their lineup
