My husband and I have had separate covers for 20+ years. We agree on the firmness of a mattress but that's about all we can agree on. We use different types of pillows, different types/warmth level of covers, etc. It's never been a big deal to us. I don't understand why anyone would choose to settle for poor quality sleep over using separate covers.

People are really missing out on separate duvets, it's 1000% the way to go

Not only individual duvets over here but also individual matrasses. Because not everyone has the same weight. Also, the mattress can be set to individual needs like back pain, whether you are a back, side, or belly sleeper.

Two duvets are the secret to a happy relationship. Each person gets the warmth level they prefer and nobody steals all the duvet during the night. I love my spouse, but I also love my sleep!

I'm not from a Scandinavian country but one thing my mum always taught me is: air all the rooms, air the duvets/covers, never and i repeat NEVER make your bed in the morning before first airing the bedroom for at least 30 minutes, no matter the time of year/temperature outside. Fresh air is extremely important, even in winter.

'Cold winter air' on your duvets, pillows and blankets (even your coats, scarves and clothes) is just the best!🥰😍 Such a heavenly smell after having your stuff aired out on a dry day (hopefully without smoke and pollution from your neighbours)! 🌬️

Individual duvets are genius! We first saw them in Germany and Switzerland. Loved them! It also makes making the bed so much easier.

I’m in America. My husband and I do not share blankets! It’s the best thing ever! Less silly fights over blanket hogging!

Both heat and very low temperatures kill bacteria and freshen clothes in an amazing way. I grew up in the Caribbean and we would call it sunning. So I remember my mum summing our mattress at least once a month (unless there was an accident then you know, it's sun-dried it after it was cleaned.) We sunned our pillows daily.

Growing up in Germany we also always aired out our duvets, my Grandma always said that there's no detergent that smelled and felt better than "frische Luft"
