As a therapist I hate being ghosted by clients. I worry for what happens to ppl. They said since it's a business relationship it's ok but in this business we are meant to help ppl so we become invested in them. It's also disrespectful to treat another person that way it sends a message that they're unimportant or like an inanimate object.

I delay booking new clients bc I'm not sure if the ghosted client is coming back, which is stressful and hurts my finances. I definitely understand clients needing to suddenly stop therapy or being prevented from accessing therapy but I'd like some notification like an e-mail or voicemail to admin to let me know. Some cases it's not possible to reach out bc of jail or hospital settings which I get.
