With the technology now available, we no longer need an umpire calling balls and strikes. In fact, no umpires are needed on the field anymore. There's now more than enough cameras placed around the field to cover everything, with the booth official able to settle any disputes that could arise during a game by simply referring to any of those camera angles.

Now that we have the accurate technology to know when umps are wrong… they have to be disciplined severely for not calling this critical part of the game….Or replace them!!!

MLB is very close to having machines call balls and strikes. Too often, the umps are wrong, and worse, obstinate bullies. A cop wudda shot him and stated: his hand motions made me think he was going for a gun. I was in fear of death or great bodily harm.
