I like that as a retirement gift on his final year tour, Baltimore gave him the busted up phone. Ortiz later said in his book that it pissed him off but he just smiled anyway.

Really? No one is going to talk about how dude to the right almost got his brains mushed in?

The Orioles just gifted that smashed telephone to Ortiz today, over 3 years later, in honor of his retirement

The broadcaster at the end was the icing on the cake. “ My phone doesn’t work, your phone doesn’t work - but that thing still works” lol 😂

It’s also funny to think he actually now has this trashed phone since the Orioles gave it to him when he retired.

“I don’t think that phone’s gonna work anymore” has the same energy as “bit rude innit?”

I do appreciate that fact that it was Pedroia, in particular, who was getting on Ortiz's case and telling him to chill out. Those two go back a ways, after all.

I love seeing Dustin Pedroia get right in Ortiz's face like "Hey. You calm down, okay? You could've seriously hurt somebody with that bat."

I'm not a Sox fan but I am a Pedroia fan.

Damn, in the right hands, a wooden club is a very scary weapon. You kinda forget how strong MLB power hitters are sometimes.

One of my favorite calls in baseball. “I don’t think that phone’s gonna work anymore.”
