"The batter looked at us for one second after hitting a homerun. Guess I have to throw at his head instead of striking him out."

"Chip, I'm all jacked up on mountain dew!"

May look soft, but I actually support these ejections. There should be no tolerance in baseball to throw a fastball at a guys head intentionally, I don't care what they did to you previously. Only way to get it out of the sport is to eject people when it happens. Besides if the ump doesn't eject these guys the other team is just going to retaliate next inning and do the same thing to them and before you know it you got a brawl on your hands.

“If that happens, it happens right after the pitch.”
No. Absolutely not. Cooler heads prevail when it’s discussed first. This was absolutely the right call and a great job by the umpires of getting together and having the guts to eject all 3 of them.

You can tell the catcher was ready, cause if anything if he wasn’t, it would have just been a wild pitch

I'd like to see Jomboy's cover of this. Anybody else agree?

"It should happen right after the pitch". . . it did tho😂 the ump didn't want to get criticized and called soft or egotistical or anything and figured safety in numbers, so he called a meeting. It's not like he waited till the end of the inning. He thought about it for a few seconds and then decided to discuss it with the others. He handled it perfectly.

Good work from the umps here. Hurt feelings shouldn't lead to a potential head injury.

I just came here for the dude chugging a 2 liter Mtn Dew 😂

Obviously the catcher knew what was coming or that was going to be a wild pitch. Good job by the umps, it just would have escalated until someone got hurt.

That's what happens when everyone's all hyped up on Mountain Dew!!!

This should happen more often. This “unwritten rule” BS is dangerous and childish to be honest. This sport NEEDS a swift makeover in more ways like this example.

Deliberate attempt to injure. Ejection for coach for calling it, catcher for seconding and pitcher for throwing

Good call umps, but the 2 liter come out of no where is absolutely hilarious.

I’m not a big baseball fan but if you look at the catchers mitt it did look like he was trying to be slick about it but was ready for an out of place ball by the timing of how he reacted to the pitch.

I always find it so funny when teams decide they need to hit batters in retaliation to taunting.

"You showed us up in the game and then humiliated us? Now my feelings are hurt and I'm going to at best give you a little bruise or at worst hit you in the head to show you how much you hurt my feelings. We are already in bad spot because you made a good play, so now instead of trying to show you I'm good at the game and beat you back, I have to put another runner on base for you just to make sure you know I'm not happy. Bet you won't make me look bad anymore, now that I've shown you I'm so good and tough by giving you an ouchie in a scenario where you can't fight back."

Quit acting like a child and compete. If you don't want people to taunt you, play better

Yeah, let's throw at a batter's head because his teammate looked at your team after a homer.
