Hi! :) I got confused on this part:

Why is this true for properties, gems, auctions, and stocks?

Is it not contradictory to the law of supply and demand that states the higher the price of a good, the less people will demand that good if all other factors remain equal? In other words, the higher the price, the lower the quantity demanded?
