NASA Explorers: The Snow Below

Snow is one part of the cryosphere that many of us have actually encountered, but it also plays a crucial role in regulating Earth’s climate. Through decades of remote sensing, NASA has kept a close eye on the ebb and flow of snow cover. #NASAExplorers also venture into the field at the far reaches of Earth to study snow, a critical resource for the millions of people who rely on it for drinking water.

As someone who lives in Southern California, seeing snow covered mountain is something I look forward to seeing every year because I know snow is important for us. When it snows and the snow actually sticks to the mountains, it’s a very exciting and happy time. Thanks for this video, NASA.

I can not swallow that cryosphere word as its meant to be a word for all snow and ice found naturally anywhere.. .. did she say snowx.. eeeep. Elon m is done.. calling innocent men child rapists publically and not apologizing... anyway
.. its not a coherent area/sphere ... its a lazy attempt to describe frostzones.. 🤠. Or I am wrong and the world is better than it looks atm.. cryosphere.. pff. I would accept it as a local deal for each pole and large mountaious areas. Each named specially like the Atlantic or cryogenic mounain area 1.. like our seas.. and deserts and anynother fucking isolated thing.. cryosphere can spin on it.
