NASA Explorers S3 E3: The Carbon Problem

In the Arctic, fires are a natural part of the ecosystem. But as the climate changes, fires are burning longer and hotter, releasing long-buried carbon from the soil. #NASAExplorers are looking from high in the sky to deep below the ground to better understand how a warming climate affects fires in the Arctic…and how fires in the region will contribute to climate change in the future. #S3E3

I am glad NASA is working hard to stop those fires.

Save the planet. We can all contribute.

NASA- Half a trillion dollars of tax dollars for the past 68 years couldnt build reliable transport or cost effective rocketry.

SpaceX does both in under 20 years.

The work you put into research is admirable. I hope the earth will still have a working ecosphere when I am done with uni.

Saving the planet with a natural gas fireplace burning in the background. LOL. Is that CO2 absolutely necessary?

Melting permafrost releases methane not co2, also you failed to mention that with more co2 in the atmosphere it also promotes new plant growth as well as retain the heat.

Hey id like to learn more about space but i dont know what to begin with :-{ could someone help?

Funny how they post this considering at the time of the space shuttle the launch produced enough energy to supply the whole Earth for one day. They need to develop giant stoppers for each and every volcano erupting on the planet. 🤣

Just turn all carbon into Diamond💎! 🤑🤑🤑

Do you think Roskosmos will ever achieve anything?

You know who releases dangerous amounts of carbon every day and all year around?

Did you read a few days ago that the earth's warming has shrunk dramatically the ozone hole? Did you notice how much easier it is to farm warm land compared to frozen land? Have you been to Yosemite park? The earth getting warmer offers a lot of real treasures like national parks and better farming. Adapt or die. Believe people who are telling you they can change the weather, well good luck with that!

Later that day at NASA:

"Sir I keep watching these videos on global warming but why is ASIA never scrutinized?"
Our future overlords might hear you. Just in case repeat after me"

"I don't

"JUST DO IT:
"Arise, Ye who refuse to be slaves!
With our flesh and blood,
let's build a new Great Wall!
Chinese nation is now facing its greatest danger,
everyone is forced to let out one last cry.
Arise! Arise! Arise!
Millions of hearts together
Brave the enemies' gunfire! March on!
Brave the enemies' fire! March on!
March on! March on! On!"
-Phew! that was close-
"As we were discussing, you meant to say that ASIA is perfect and exempt from any further scrutiny involving climate
"Yes I understand, China is amazing better than that filthy country of the U.S.A, did I do good?"
"Yes young intern you will fit amazingly at NASA"

Can't wait till Methane is introduced to the conversations, It has been in the equations a long time.
Hope it's soon.

Carbon accelerates the growth of invasive plants, which can overcrowd plants that are native to the area and choke them.

I am having an idea about time traveling.
If someone try to skip time then his/her life process will skip too which will cause death of that particular person
👇 Like so that NASA will work on it.
