Things that make the Cobratec Knives Kingpin a good self-defense blade:

-The end of the handle provides an aggressive grip point with jimping when the knife is held in reverse grip
-At 8 inches overall length, it is good for conceal carry
-It has a top swedge which reduces the point thickness for improve piercing
-The blade is canted with top limping for optimal forward grip
-The handle is textured g10 for a secure hold
-The blade comes with a quick deploy kydex sheath and versatile holster

The Kingpin blade was purposefully designed to serve as the ultimate urban defensive blade for daily carry.

Zoltan Gero, a Hungarian knife-maker, designer, and former professional soldier, collaborated w. CobraTec to create Kingpin. His background and comprehension of edged weapons were solidified by his experiences practicing martial arts, including Mauy Thai, and teaching Krav Maga. His operational involvement supporting US and Hungarian Special Forces in Afghanistan gave him an understanding of the necessity for high-perforamance blades. He has particapted in the production of blades tailored for military, law enforcement, and prepared civilians.

As someone who learnt to knife fight while training with Thai Commandos, the moment a knife is involved, get ready to get cut, even if it's your own knife.

Pulling a knife saved me from getting my head kicked in once when I got jumped about 6 or 7 years ago. Just a mini-griptillian

Knives are meant to be felt, and not seen. Special forces operator once told me, if you have to use a knife, PLAN ON GETTING CUT OR STABBED, IT IS GOING TO HAPPEN!

#1 the only fight you win is the one that doesn’t happen, trust me. It’s not worth the legal bullshit or pain.
#2 do not fight unless you or someone you love are in serious danger, & once it’s at that point you’re better off with lethal force.

As someone who's actually had to use a knife in self defense before and also been sent to prison because of it and as someone who's also been stabbed 6 times myself, a knife is ONLY effective if you use it fast, and only effective against people who are primarily sober, someone drunk or high WILL NOT FEEL It, and will continue to fight you, if you are outnumbered you're better off using your hands because they WILL over power you and they WILL use it against you

Getting into a knife fight is what I like to call "mutually assured murder. "... don't do it, you will get hurt guaranteed.. defend and run.. if you can't do that, then don't focus on the weapon focus on the hand wrist and arm holding it. You'll have to make quick decisions on which parts of yourself you're willing to sacrifice to survive. Not a good situation to be in avoid at all costs.

I learned to knife fight back in the 1500s back when London was a different place. Thanks for the tips.

I was taught never introduce a weapon in a conflict you can’t hold on to because it will be used against you.

The sixth thing every knife needs to be a good self-defense knife is a wielder that knows how to use it.

If it gets to the point where I need to pull my knife to defend myself, the gun is coming out.

We’re gonna need to add knives to the Second Amendment because Gavin Newsom will make every knife she’s ever spoken about illegal in five minutes if given the opportunity

Long thin, double edged OTF blade comes to mind, with tactical knowledge. She has a bushcraft knife, but a knifes a knife.
