@ant1h If the inside of the rim is worn, I would also check the brake caliper to see if it has the same type of mark on it. You could also jack the tire up and turn it by hand to see if you can hear where it's comeing from. Hope this helps you out.

@DodgeMan360 Once you put the new tie rod in, I would recommend getting an alignment done. Even if you count the turns it may still be off a little bit, causing the tires to wear out.

If there's a check engine light on you may want to have the code pulled to see where it's pointing to. You could also check all of the suspention pieces to see if there's anything that needs to be fixed.

It may be. Sometimes a bad hub noise will come and go while you turn.

@Amopower you can look at the hub bearing to see if there's any movement in it.

It could also be worn suspension or steering parts. If the sway bar steering stabilizers are bad, you experience a thumping noise with a shake in the wheel at higher speeds, but not necessarily a shake in the brake pedal. Hope this helps you out.

If you also feel the shake in the brake pedal, usually it's the sign of a bad rotor. We carry new brake rotor and pad kits on our website for all kinds of vehicle. Hope this helps you out.

It still could be a bad wheel bearing. Sometimes on these newer cars you have to take the hub off of the knuckle and see if you can move the outer hub by hand. If there's quite a bite of play between the two pieces it may be bad. The bearing tolerances are so close on some of the newer cars, that it can be hard to tell at times. Hope this helps you out.

@antonio30824 You have to lift the tire up off the ground and unload it, to properly be able to move it as shown in the video. What you are looking for is play in the wheel by being able to move it from side to side.

You may want to jack the car up and see if the wheel bearings are bad. You could also see if the axle is loose. You may want to turn the tire by hand to see if you can hear any strainge noises that may lead you to what's causing the issue.

when the vehicle is up in the air and since there is no limited slip differential, one side of the vehicle will spin since the power is being diverted all to that side since it believes it is slipping. When the vehicle is on the ground and the wheel is getting traction, the power then goes to both tires.

You may experiance a humming noise at over 30 mph, if the bearing has gone bad.

@Amopower the procedure would be the same to check the bearings in the front of your vehicle.

@Dolfandad79 Just an FYI, the car in this video is "too bad." It is a good example to video because you can see it. Better to catch it before it can move this much.

@wickedjester9 I would check all of the suspension pieces such as the tie rod ends and sway bar links, ball joints. You should also see if there's any play in the axle shafts. If you have a bad one, that could cause an issue too.

You may want to check the front axles and also the sway bar end links for wear. If the end links are dried out and bad, you may have a thump at higher speeds, shake in the steering wheel, but maybe not in the brake pedal. If those check out okay, inspect the rest of the suspension pieces for wear. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com
