Don't worry y'all, professional Wii U modders have already stated this error is not caused by not using the console, the only thing happening now is that everyone's turning on their Wii U and many people are realizing now, many years later, that they had done something that killed the console while it was off.

It's possible that the NAND is not powered, or the capacitor have gone bad. Toshiba's NAND that was inside the Wii U could be replaced with the one that has the Wii U dump. It's possible to restore.

Also don’t leave your Wii U game pad charging for too long. My game pad has like a 5 min battery

I read that if you perform a NAND backup, you may be able to restore it.

I roughly use mine at least once a month since I like to go back and play a couple of games on it. Although someday, I should probably invest into having it modded.

i've had my wii u for over 8 years now and to this day my family still uses it pretty often
