I haven’t used my Wii U in about a year. Just turned it on, happy it still works because I have a ton of Wii U games left on my backlog. Gotta get around to those soon

Didn’t touch my Wii U for like 6 years until a couple months ago to mod it. Ran perfectly as if it was used the day before

It's only affecting WiiUs that have the Hynix NAND in them, others should be safe for awhile longer

I have five of them. Luckily, all of them are working. Disc games work flawlessly on each of them.

I’m scared of my system dying. Apparently the memory goes bad and the OS stops working so there’s no way to replace it

I imagine some people are having issues because of the way it was stored like out in a garage exposed to heat and cold

Digital games used to play for about 15 minutes then a system memory error would pop up. I'd have to leave the system off for a few hours before it would boot normally again. It happened a good 10+ times in a row. It seems to have gone away though, as my kids have had some solid WiiU sessions lately.

The only issue with my Wii U is that the HDMI port stopped working meaning that I can’t play Wii U games on my TV anymore, but the gamepad still works, I’ve used my Wii U many times so I don’t think the console is bricked as I can still play games on the gamepad though, not sure if there is a fix for the Wii U to work with the TV again.
