I always tell folks considering them "Dentures are not the end of your dental problems. They are just a different set of dental problems." For some people dentures are the only option and going that route is better than doing nothing and living with chronic infection, but other than that avoid dentures at all costs!

With dentures you can’t taste food, I think regardless if dentures are stuck in your mouth somewhere or are dentures that you take out and stuff, regardless I don’t think you would be able to eat the same foods even with permanent dentures cuz your not tasting anything, I think having dentures would be more anything, I’ve heard having no teeth can also effect speech

Not always better though. I have dentinogenisis Imperfecta and my teeth are super brittle. Having fake teeth would literally make a huge difference. Sure it has sideffects too but I'd take them over my own teeth.
