A Muslim man told AB News that each Muslim who wants to cross into Bangladesh has to pay 500, 000 Kyats.

If you want to cross to Bangladesh, you can cross if you pay 5 lakhs. Various types of wooden boats are convenient. Mainly the Muslim armed groups take the task to send the people to Bangladesh, he said.

About 200 families of around 600 individuals from Maungni Village, Maungdaw Township, arrived at Fezi Village around 4 pm on August 4th to cross the Naf River and enter Bangladesh.

It is reported that the three boats were hired from Jalia Para, Teknaf Sadar, Coxs Bazar Bangladesh by Dil Mohammad, a member of an armed group who is from the Kanyintan Ward of Maungdaw to send the people from Rakhine to Bangladesh.
