When in sport mode does this thing have full power off the first press of the gas ? Been seeing people say it lags or cuts power off the line and im wondering if they arent using sport mode.

Prior transmission was six speed. It was not geared right. There are reports of automatic transmission problems, and truck king broke the manual. These tacos are not sorted yet.

Leaf springs are now only standard on base Tacos. I believe anything SR5, or TRD sports or off-road have the same coil spring rear suspension.

I don't need a giant screen, I'd rather have a V6 and regular turn knobs for the controls. Call me old-fashioned but I'll stick with my 2011.

That infotainment screen is too big. The seats may be great but the amount of space they take makes second row unusable.in my opinion not worth the money. You are right they are gimmicks. I get the TRD sport or Off-road 4x4. Really overall I like the prior engine in Tacos but what do you do, turbos are the thing nowadays.

Nice review!! reliability is the elephant in the room for this new generation Tacoma. Hmmm…knowing dealership propaganda they probably put a lot of pressure on Toyota manufacturing to make this new Tacoma complex with Turbo and Hybrid so it will keep the dealership service department busy with service repairs as soon as warranty expires. Absolute corruption what is happening in the automotive industry.

Fox shocks fail under weight. Ive been through 2 replacements in one year. 5ft bed, full of equipment, kills those shocks.

It’s a good looking mid sized truck but for 48k a ZR2 can do all the same so at 66k they can keep it

Is it just me or does that look look extremely bouncy? You take your hands off the steering wheel and are still bouncing all over the place. Fake bouncing for cinematic effect? Is it the seat that is making your body bounce all over the place?
