Can GPU Sag Actually Cause Damage?

You should ALWAYS include a bracket even if your GPU doesn't really need one. Peace of mind is very important when your GPU costs more than a video game console.

Support brackets are really easy to make/print/buy/shove whatever you have under there, so even if its not sagging i think its still probably a good idea to have one.

My favorite brackets let the gpu rest on case itself and not just an extension from the screws by the outputs.

The solution is to get a couple of zip ties, make one long one, and use that to support the weight. I also do this with very heavy CPU coolers on occasion. And, yes, they make these things in any color you wish, so it will blend in very easily.

Cool thing about the XFX 7900XTX card shown in the picture. Mine came with its own support bracket that mounts really easily and basically prevents Sag entirely. Not sure how it is for the rest of you, but it was here in the UK of Amazon.

It looks like the second fan in that cooler is mounted lower and is pushing on it to me. Maybe it’d help if they fixed that first and got like 6 or 7 2x2 black Lego pieces

Thermaltake Tower 200. GPU hangs vertically straight down, no support bracket needed.

That card should have come with a support bracket. But it looks like the case chosen is not big enough for it.

Also, if he turned the cooler the right way, he might have more room between the cooler and GPU!

Watch North West Repair or similar gpu Repair channel. Want your gpu to last, vertical mount and don't over heat.
