I have had my 4k Fire Stick for about 3weeks now and it works great with the new LG Tv. One thing I did notice was the WiFi signal was low ( I get 195 Mg's on my 5g Net) so I bought a HDMI 3ft extender to get the stick away from the Tv and now it's running real good and WiFi connect shows very strong.

Hi!! I'm from India and got the Firestick 4K version as soon as it was launched in India.and almost using for 4 years from now. Beforehand, I was using a non 4K version of the Firestick. I got the 4K version as my TV is 4K and supports HDR and Dolby Vision.
I will say that, no streaming device can compete against the Firestick.
It's the best and my daily data streamer.

I see you struggled to get the back cover (for a second) off the remote. That really had me stumped. I wish you would have shown how to get it off. I saw on another video the guy had the same problem. It took me a bit to figure it out.

Thanks for the info but I wish I could have seen the part when you removed the remote battery cover. I received mine today and the remote cover is stuck like glue! Tried everything but no luck so I am having to use my old Fire Stick remote without Alexa etc. Nice video quality on your review by the way.

I have this. The Fire Stick 4k does NOT control the TV with CEC. It has an IR transmitter. You still have to point it at the tv's IR receiver. And it's flakey for controlling the tv.

Mine lasted 11 months. Great when it works, . First it loops, then the remote fails, than nothing! Amazon never replaced it. Suggested fixes that didn't work. Very disappointed in this product.

This could well be the missing link for my Samsung Soundbar using ARC with a 2014 Samsung 8500 TV. Although I can get it all to work, which won't allow the Smart TV Sound to pass thru if all connected in Series, so needs STB & Soundbar in parallel to TV although my sound begins to mess up the built-in Subwoofer! It gets confused with the signals and phase cancels and vibrates badly thus requiring a total 3 devices OFF to Reset! When I use this parallel config the remotes TONE & EQ stop working too. So perhaps not requiring ARC to work for the TV Remote it might possibly just be the answer as it has Volume + Better Web Browser which is the reason to buy one OR the Cube. Anyone had this same experience?

You should have spent a few minutes showing how to open the battery compartment. I just bought a Fire cube and I had to YouTube instructions because it was such a pain in the ass to open.

Question...regarding new 4k firestick. The volume control only controls the TV you initially pair it too. I set it up on a Sony and worked perfectly for volume and actually shuts off my TV. But I try it on my Samsung and volume doesnt work at all. So I did a new stick on the Samsung it was perfect. But it doesn't work for volume on my Sony. Both new 70 and 75" TVs 4k. Wth. Any idea how to fix that?

Good unboxing. about to let mine unboxing loose :o) The HDMI Adaptor or Extention, whatever you want to call it, Is actually a WIFI and Remote Signal booster as well. So it's not just an HDMI extension. I am having the same problem as I did with the FIRE TV CUBE. Where Movies in Netflix are not playing as HDR or Dobly Vision. I have an Oled LG TV, whenever HDR is Playing a popup I get a little logo on the upper right-hand corner of my TV that tells shows HDR. Same for Dolby Vision I get an ICON as well on my TV. Now when I play Netflix Movies on my TV and Select and HDR or Dolby Vision Movie. I get the Format Icon pop up with no issues. this is only happening with FIRE TV STICK 4K as well as it did with the cube. Are you having that issue? Do you have a TV that Supports Dolby Vision and HDR10 Etc?

I made a mistake of buying the Fire Tv Cube, but luckily I was able to return it, if you don't want to spend too much money on a fire tv device, buy this one. Right now it is selling for $34.99 on Amazon with monthly payments of 7 dollars for just 5 months. I'm telling you all, this is more faster and smoother than any other Fire TV device except for the Fire TV 2nd Gen, that's the only fire tv device that can beat this one in terms of performance and gaming capabilities.

After using the new Firestick 4K for some weeks, the big draw back is no screen mirroring so you can push (for example) the screen from your phone to the Firestick - not entirely sure why they have removed this feature, whilst the only other option is seemingly using a 3rd party paid app.
