I remember having Covid not able to taste and smell anything for 1 month. However I still had some sugar cravings. That was the moment I experienced myself that there must be a relation with my gut.

This guy has such a compelling way of speaking and phrasing things. Especially impressive as it sounds like English is not his first language.

I cannot even begin to explain in words my great appreciation for ALL of your knowledge you and your guest freely offer. At one week from turning 40 yoa, graduating nursing school with a 3.76 GPA with 17 years of experience, and all my independently sought education and therapy, I finally found the appropriate knowledge for my brain! Thank you is the absolute least I can make known to you. ✌❤😊

Chapeau, Andrew, keep it going and thank you for your imense service. Let me tell you..you are changing the world!

Such an engaging conversation. I wonder how we are going to evolve from here. Sugar has become so much more available than ever before.

I think it is quite funny that this dudes last name "Zuker" is the German word for sugar, isn't it?

@hubermanlab Why does the gut crave sugar exactly? I usually experience lethargy and brain fog after eating sugar, so why does the gut register its consumption as beneficial for the body?

There's interesting stuff about sugar and fat from a guy named Udo Pollmer, who's absolutely in favor of both. But beware, he's a nutritional chemist, he argues with scientific facts, and he can explain very detailed what's going on in the body when one eats X, Y, or Z

Didn't answer the penulitmate question at all. Why ingesting sugar leads to more sugar craving which was a very good question

Education and will power. If society wants to change we can change but greed rules the world and while there's money to be made selling people who don't know how their bodys work a product, those who have no principles will do what ever it takes to make money.
