From what I've seen from other people in videos as in my case the PS5 is not dead silent not even close. This video does makes me feel better about my PS5 because mine is louder than I had expected to be when I first got it, sounds similar to this test video.
Anyone comparing it to the Xbox Series X in terms of being quiet is full of it or is in the incredibly extreme minority compared to the rest of us. (Series X is "The Quiet Place" silent).

My PS5 is fine and has zero noise issues. I’ve had since the day after launch.

For anyone wondering the mic is extremely close to it so it will obviously make a lot more noise in the video. In real life I can barely hear it, when I have headphones on I cant hear it all. So no one really has to worry about this. It when we are 6 or 7 years into the ps5s life span and we start to get games that push the ps5s limits that we should worry about.

Thank you for this helpful comparison. The new one has almost more buzzing noise to me.
I have my PS5 since release and this buzzing noise was less but still it sounds like in your video. Perhaps it also depends on the game, since I started with Destiny 2 PS5 edition, I recognise a louder buzzing, specially when the console uses more processing power.

Whenever I open up a game I hear a slight sound (nothing noticeable until your in a dead silent room). But it was pretty loud for a couple of weeks then it went away so just be patient if your having issues
