You say the cops can go beyond your "No Trespassing" signs and wander around your "open field" property without probable cause or a warrant? I don't want anybody on my property. So how long can they stay there just wandering around without probable cause? This "anonymous tip" garbage needs to stop as well.

These dudes feel like they can creep around the outside of your house, walk around back, through gates ... they legally have no more authority than a door to door salesman. If a door to door salesman would be arrested for peering in your back windows ... the cops know they aren't supposed to be doing it.

I'm a lawyer with several murder cases under my belt. This attorney is doing everyone a major good by explaining the fundamentals. It is VERY hard to get someone to explain things easily - which Mr. Hampton has done. Of course, if you've committed a crime and are relying on this info, remember that a lot of precedents are set after the person has been convicted and sent to prison or lost a trial. And LOTS of cases are subject to exclusion if it moves along the pre-trial process. Many cases are dismissed before trial for various reasons BUT you still had to go through the arrest and everything that follows.

My property is fenced and gated. Signs posted. The only way to enter would be to cut the fence. That changes the game. Texas is very strict about private property rights. Eliminate the "open field" with fencing.

I've seen so many videos where cops want consent to search, are told to leave, and then refuse to do so. They stay on the property, and then try to keep the chatter going. And even when that fails, they refuse to leave. Although, they have been trespassed, who can you call to have them removed from your property? No one... you're powerless, you have no rights

Under the "Trespass Act" in Ontario, Canada, you can notify (written or verbal) anyone or any organisation that they are prohibited from entering your property, BEFORE they ever even have a chance to enter. If they disregard that "prior notice", you yourself can arrest them or call police.
Giving prior notice removes any "Implied" licence to enter and they are criminally trespassing as soon as their foot crosses the line, even if you are not there to tell them to leave. This law applies to anyone including police.
My local (Peterborough OPP) police service have targeted, harassed, assaulted (Illegal arrests) and used the "Implied" licence to enter my family's properties many times years ago to carry on with their illegal conduct. I served them "Prior Notice" under the "Trespass to Property Act" and now they are prohibited from entering and I made it clear I will arrest them.
Their harassment ended and the false charges have also.

Please also address the welfare check swatting scenario, i.e., a false maliciously made welfare check call made to intimidate the victim. The result is several police officers knocking on your front door, insisting that you open the door and suggesting that they will have to break the door down to verify that you are all right.

your kurtalage is all the surrounding area of your house. this means the entire parameter of the house, the side walk leading to the front door, the yard, etc....
to create privacy:
build a fence (around your entire kurtalage). this means putting a barrier between the cops and stop heir ability to "just walk up to your front door.".
Build it high enough (iaw your local zoning laws) that a cop can not say, "Your honor, fence was a tiny fence that was just one foot tall and not a barrier to us.".
next - put "no trespassing " signs on the barrier. If you must, put it every five feet of barrier. We all know that cops can not read those signs if just one sign is present - your honor, I did not see a "no trespassing" sign it was not visible from any angle I could see ( a lie and they know it).
the make it so that the cops must unlatch the entrance to said kurtalage. this means that they must physically unlock the secured gate - thus given notice of trespassing - now trespassing.
If you do not want to speak to them do not install a verbal communications device.
If you want to say something, install a verbal communications device. they them must speak through that device and only that device.
Have a live stream camera system with a re-allocating storage system. this means that this system (after an established period of time) will record over the other data (usually about 30 days of storage time). cops do that and save said footage for prosecutorial reasons. Save same footage for defensive purposes.
Play the games cops play andy thier rules. govt entities hate when citizens play the game (using the govts' rules).

I hate to say it but I will:
cops are now the absolute enemies of our Constiutional and Civil rights freedoms.
