how to do a partial line complete with arrow keys? For example, my history is "lll", "ls -l" and when I type "ls" and press an arrow I want to get "ls- l" instead of "lll". I found simple inputrc config for bash ""\C-[[A": history-search-backward "\C-[[B": history-search-forward" that do that, but it does not working for zsh

i am using fish with starship, but i might switch to zsh for the posix compliance

... bash is still king... there's a reason why it's always the default shell

General disadvantage this is not default..all install scripts and commant suppose that you have bash.. I quite rare saw something else. Also zoo of different shells also make a confusion for user.
