Everybody knows that AP classes are very useful because of the money and time they can save you in college. But are they really doing that..? Just taking a bunch of random AP classes won't actually help you that much, if they don't align with your major. So today, we review the most important AP classes you NEED to take, depending on what you plan to major in college.

For Engineering & Physics you should also include AP chemistry because engineering majors have to take 1 chemistry class & physics majors have to take 2 chemistry classes.

I did a double major in History and Economics and am a law school graduate. The greatest advice that I give to students is that:
Take English language or English literature, PLEASE. The skills I honed and the critical thinking that I learned from those two courses helped me SO MUCH during my history degree and- to an impressive but still lesser extent- my economics degree, and those fundamentals allowed me to layer atop them ultimately for law school (shudder).

Ye for future docs take AP chem and biology. You have to take them again in college but at least you’ll be better prepared. I wish I did

If you’re in the NYC area theres a high school in Tuckahoe that offers not AP classes but a new program called CP that offers way more courses than AP if anyone is interested and unlike AP, CP doesn’t involve tests grades of HW (except for the optional CP exam)

i’m planning to major in physics, and i will have taken world, apush, psych, chem, calc ab, lang, physics 1, calc bc, lit, both physics c courses, and physics 2 by the time i graduate. i feel like i just recently figured out what i want to do with my life, so i did a surprisingly good job aligning my schedule with my college major.

taking summer/ winter courses are a good way to get ahead. So if you don't want to take a lot of ap test in middle school/ high school you can still be on pace and even ahead if you take winter and summer classes in university. Yes taking ap classes in pre-university help you get into your college of choice and good way to be prepared for university you don't need to take a lot of ap classes to achieve your goals.

Not going to lie, taking dual enrollment courses if available isn’t a bad idea since they usually provide courses that AP traditionally doesn’t offer. An example would be Statics, Dynamics, Differential Equations, and Electric Circuits 1. Some schools also pay for your classes, making them cheaper than AP.

I think I want to go into the engineering field because I feel it’s what I will be best at since there is a lot of math involved and Math is my most comforting subject, but I don’t want to take AP Physics because Physics honors was the only class I was never able to get an A in (so far)…

I might become a lawyer so I took APUSH, got a 4, and World and got a 5. Taking Gov this year. I took Lang last year and got a 5, and taking Lit this year.
