The problem with soy isn’t that it’s not a inherently good nutritious food, it’s that even organic soy is so cross contaminated with GMO soy. The people with food sensitivities to soy are rampant anymore. I think it used to be a great food, but in this day and age it might be better to avoid. Just my convictions

I’ve always wondered why soy had such a bad reputation. I was a member of a vegan Facebook group that bad-mouthed soy so much that I actually had to drop them! I researched soy and just couldn’t find what they were saying to be true.

Spot on, Chad. Humans are the only animal that drinks milk after it’s been weened. And even then, it’s a different species milk. 🤦🏻‍♂️

I started eating a mostly vegan diet 8 months ago after fear of cancer (bigger lymph node under my arm). Soy milk has really helped make the transition easy. I probably have 3 or 4 eight ounce cups of soymilk per day, most of that in morning cereal.

Also plant estrogen (phytoestrogen) is not a hormone or a steroid. It has the ability to fit with a human estrogen receptor, but is not at all estrogen. It's effects are limited, and in most cases are understandably different than the human estrogen hormone. It has some similarities and benefits, but it is not estrogen.

You mentioned that without an interventional trial you can't be sure soy is the cause of sterility.... would that also apply to the cancer study (or survey?)? -Not being snarky, -just haven't read the studys'methods. 🙂
