Calculating First 4 Digits of π Using a Pendulum for Pi day
Показать описание
HAPPY PI DAY!
Period of a swinging pendulum is calculated from the formula:
t = 2*π*sqrt(L/g)
Where L is the length of the pendulum and g is the local acceleration of gravity.
g is about 9.8 m/s^2 and we make L four times smaller, so L is 2.45 m.
Period should then theoretically be exactly π.
