We got some lean ground beef and it was so dry. I am canning ground beef today so I am adding cheaper ground meat to it so it tastes better. Thank you for sharing.

Hi Bev, i know what you mean 22 jars means 22 meals, but if you figure in the leftovers that you’ll have with many of the dishes, taco pie is easily two and a lunch, hamburger soup you’ll have several meals, goulash two and a lunch, it’s crazy how far this will go and I know that you know that too, talk about home economics! Well done my friend.

Ok....in the US, our vinegar is in round jugs. Can I just say that I am SUPER jealous of your vinegar jugs?! Rectangle seems so much more practical for storage!!

I canned taco meat a couple months ago. Had it for the first time tonight and it was amazing!!!

Thank you for reviewing and canning the ground beef. My little freezer is full, as is the freezer in the refrigerator. When I get to Sam's, they have had 90/10 ground chuck at a fantastic price. God Bless

I think you could use a meat chopper. It's my favorite kitchen tool thing. Makes cooking hamburger into small little even pieces way easier. I don't get to get out my frustrations like with a spatula anymore. I got mine off of Amazon but I've seen them all over in stores, I think even in the dollar tree.

I so appreciate you and the way you explain. It delights me to learn from you. This is the first year of canning ground beef for me. If a deer comes our way you can bet a bunch gets canned.
