The funny thing is that in the books, Varys is quite obviously working against Dany with Illyrio to support Faegon (Fake Aegon Targaryen), and fans theorise that he is secretly a Blackfyre and that Varys is also secretly a Blackfyre (rival offshoot house of the Targaryen's)

Varys literally sabotaged her in the worst way possible. He revealed that Jon Snow was the rightful Targaryen heir which:

1. Put into question legitimacy of Daenerys heir claim

2. Introduced new “competition” that already had the North wanting him as their king.

3. Created a huge strain between her and Jon. Aka, one of the few strong relationship she has in Westeros.

Not to mention, this all happened while she’s in the middle of war, trying to rally support to her side.

I’m not saying Varys deserved to be burnt. But he committed ultimate treason to a dragon queen who made it clear what she does to her enemies.

He did all that for someone who didn’t want to be king. Wft? Varys would have never schemed for someone who was loyal to the person he’s trying to overthrow. Varys would have found a willing participant in his plan. Not one who was 100% loyal.

He wasnt wrong about her??? He betrayed her before she even burned down King's Landing. He even attempted to poison her. Instead of comforting his queen in her darkest hour, he abandoned her and started plotting against her. His betrayal (along with all of Dany's losses that he and Tyrion had caused her) was what sent her over the edge. She had lost the war. She would never be accepted by the people of Westeros as their queen despite all of her sacrifices. They used her to defeat the Night King and dispose of Cersei and then threw her under the bus when she was no longer of use to them. I would have burned the whole fcking realm too.

I just feel like Dany ending as the mad queen is such a disappointment. I understand her family history, we spent the whole show seeing how she wanted to be different but ultimately they always played with the concept of her being cruel when she ultimately saved westeros in the long night. I feel like Dany has this underlying theme of progression, but they kinda wasted it just as they did Jamies, or Jon Snow. So much growth for more of the same. its so disappointing
