FINALLY...someone took the time to actually explain this to me. I have tried unsuccessfully to look for a video like this. Thank you so much!

I appreciate the fact that you don’t live your life in fear of the outdoors and the sun. I appreciate the fact that even as a dermatologist you live your life fully and do not give up activities that you truly enjoy ❤️

Great video! Here's my personal experience over a 4 year time span. I started my skincare Journey with a very mild retinoid (ester) which did practically nothing. Moved up to a stronger retinol and my skin hated it, tried multiple types and strengths. Even got a retinol burn which was scary. I tried the ordinary Granactive emulsion and it did literally nothing and my acne came back. Tried 2 types of retinaldehyde which worked okay, but it turned my skin yellow over time. Switched to adapalene for a year and had good results with acne and anti-aging too. Then I tried retin A .025% a total game changer. Light years better than all the others. It completely knocked out all acne, I couldn't believe the collagen building back up in my skin. Fine lines and wrinkles have disappeared at age 46, it's a miracle worker. It might be stronger but my skin liked it better than retinol. OTC adapalene doesn't compare. I was scared to try Retin-A because of all the horror stories, but it was so worth the transition, the dryness and peeling went away. More powerful than any other skin care ingredient I've tried.

I would LOVE a video on tazarotene vs tretinoin. I have switched from Tret to Taz and find that very few people are really putting out info on third or fourth generation retinoids.

Great livestream. Thank you! As a medicinal chemist, I adore how you break this down to explain the biochemistry behind the differences/how retinol works. Think it helps so many people appreciate and understand far better. Keep 👏it👏up👏👏👏❤️

Love your content! Ended up with rosacea during my first pregnancy. Despite my dermatologist, it continued progressing to truly moderate rosacea. Using your content, I now have my rosacea under control and have even improved my skin in a lot of ways.

Tretinoin from Agency is my retinoid. Dermatologists, like you, on You Tube have taught us how to use moisturizer under tretinoin when our skin gets sensitive.

I had an excellent experience with adapalene for acne. It's affordable, relative gentle, and effective. Then I went on a prescription for something unrelated, my hormones went haywire and I broke out horribly, despite the adapalene. My Dermatologist put me on Tretinoin .025% and I've been using that ever since. It cleared right up! I still think that adapalene is an excellent choice!

Phenomenal deep overview and very informative and useful, thank you so much for covering this and hope we'll get more indepth, long format videos like this on a variety of topics (such as body care [KP, erythema, etc), vitamin c, antioxidants, sunscreen, moisturizers, etc). Thanks so much!

I apply skin medica .25 retinol and hydroquinone one night and skin better alphaRet the next. If I find my skin is less tolerant I take a night off from both and hydrate only. I am 44 and have better skin now then in my 20’s. Consistency is key♥️

Thank you!! Your videos have provided the information that I needed to start my journey using retinoids in a way that was not too irritating for my skin and wouldn't create more hyperpigmentation. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!

Thank you for all the info!I would really like to see a video about eye creams vs. serums; something that won't clog pores and cause milia.

I have been very skeptical of the retinol body washes so thank you for addressing the short contact time element as to why it’s not worth a purchase

I have 2 questions: 1. For sensitive skin, can I build up to using tretinoin by first using adapalene? - How should I build up tolerance so my face doesn't melt off from tretinoin?😂 2. Can retinols help treat redness from Rosacea?
Thank you!

So growing up I never was taught skin care so I kinda just figured it out as an adult. So I have an 8 year old and was wondering what age should I start to show her a skin care routine? Thank you

Tranecamic acid on pill helped lighten my melasma within two months. Still taking it even I almost have no pigmentation left. Solved my problem that I been treating over 3 years.
