Correction: Please note the warranty for the infotainment system on the BYD Atto 3 is three years not two as stated.

BYD's 3.0 platform is at least one or two generations ahead of MG and Nissan in terms of electrification. Not to mention the superior blade battery that even Tesla will use in their future cars.

You missed out boring Tesla 3, at least here in Sydney it is under 70k

I checked in one of the route planning apps, if I were to travel from Sydney to Adelaide then BYD requires 5 hours of charging and Tesla 3 only 2.5 hrs. That is a lot of hours of saving over my remaining life to wait for car to charge!!!

Gotta be kidding. I would take a Tesla Model 3 any day. Absolutely no comparison

They didn’t say anything about the two worst issues with the Nissan LEAF - Chademo which is a dying fast charging standard, and lack of battery thermal management, which leads to overheating after several fast charges and increased battery degradation. Nissan has wasted the potential of this otherwise brilliant car by ignoring these two biggest issues every refresh.

BYD Atto3 might have had no competition for the past year, but MG4 will arrive in a few days’ time and it will definitely kick butt with its drive handling, for likely an even lower price.

Nice video👍Solid comparison, objective judgement!

I noticed people talking about the tesla Model 3. I personally think the way it is set up inside isn't that good, to see what speed you are doing, you have to look to your left instead of directly in front of you and everything is controlled on the Infotainment screen

BYD Seal will kill decade old frog Designed Model 3. Seal is new modern design, V2L, Blade battery and a larger car very decently packaged.

I mean Tesla Model 3 is a shoe in under 70k. Driving the BYD after my Tesla felt like an absolute dog by comparison- BUT the value does seem absolutely amazing, so my fam might be getting one to go fully electric

No discussion about ongoing running/maintenance costs?

Got 6.7 -100 in my BYD. Did you use the sprint option on the menu?

You can get a base model 3 under 70k, new. Just barely, but you can.

These supposed comparison tests are to be taken with a pinch of salt. I mean really, do they actually keep these cars for any length of time to see how they perform over the long term, durability and quality? The presenter talks about the funky interior on the BYD but what's the good of a funky interior if it's not durable ...is the seat material of good quality and are those guitar string pocket holders going to last?

Leaf isn't based on any petrol car. It was ground up electric in 2010. Lousy fact checking there.

Why wasn’t the Tesla Model 3 included? $65k
Mini E $63k

Would the BYD braking be improved by ditching those weird budget tyres?

Geeze underwhelming competition. BYD looks cool, best battery, though the charging speed is poor, tyres not good, seats don't have adjustability.
Great commuter car as you say for $50k if that suits.

Why is Model 3 not on here? Base model is under $70k on roads

No Hyundai Kona? That's a strange omission, would've probably finished a head of the other three

Model 3, don't be fooled by limited criteria on offer.
