I really enjoy your detailed, yet laid back style - as a 38 year old learning to skate I've really appreciated your videos!

Great idea to practice indoors like that. I've also added manual practice to the end of a session because it's a trick you can do when you are tired of jumping. Btw your tutorials are awesome.

This channel is everything I’ve been looking for. You do such a great job at explaining and not rushing these tutorials

I use this method with karate which my instructor told me about . I spend 5 minutes dedicated to each task or section of my routine. It’s a real motivation enhancement. I’m stoked to see it working out for someone else.

I implemented the foot positioning and tension concepts to my manuals and I saw improvements in only one sesh! Thank you for your efforts! You kick ass

5:50 stationary on concrete is also a recommendation by Dan Corrigan (Video "Manual Forever Masterclass", he is talking right in the beginning about it at minute one)

This was extremely helpful thank you. I'm going to go find a scrap bit of carpet to try this out on. I can't tic tac yet so I'm going to use this method to learn better board control for kick turns and tic tac and then work up to manuals as I think they are one of the coolest tricks imo

What she does with everything is use first principles thinking to break down each skateboard maneuver or trick and that’s why she’s such an excellent teacher.

Love your detailed tutorials! This is coming from an old timer learning along with his baby daughter at 5 years old and we appreciate these videos so much. Hopefully she'll be able to shred like you one day🤙

Another great method and tutorial! Starting today.
Very similar to what you said about pressure points, but a tip from another tutorial that seemed to mentally help me: to purposefully pick toe or heel side to rest in, so you mostly have to focus on the forward/backwards axis.

Sooo good! I’ve been fighting with myself to practice manuals with the “line” method and I’m not digging it either.

I’ll give this a go for sure. Rad vid Sarah.

You are learning fast. Most are not willing to put in that effort. They are so fun once you have them down. If you consistently practice the way you have you will get really good at them. Then you can start learning to pop into manuals for manual pads.

This makes me want to try skating again! I was taking skate lessons and now it’s been over two years since I’ve been on a board regularly. Learning manuals on my own was my favorite thing to do but never really got it. I think this will help!

The counting method is very clever. The thought has also crossed my mind - that practicing stationary manuals would make rolling manuals easier but I've never practiced them like that. I find nose manuals much easier for some reason but I can only hold them for a short time (more than actual manuals). After seeing your vid I will definitely do this on rainy days. Balance is a skill too after all. Your channel is very helpful, thanks!!!
