I have been making cream cheese frosting for many years and it’s always on the runny side when doing it this way. You need to beat the butter till soft and lighter, then add the powdered sugar, mix well and then add the cream cheese last. What a game changer, the icing is 100% better . Try it if you don’t believe me. Then you can add vanilla, or little lemon juice. Let me know if you give it a try. I will never go back to doing it your way ever again. 😊

I’ve recently been experimenting with frostings and started adding a little sour cream to the mixture it adds a nice tangy flavor to the frosting and helps balance the sweetness out. Can’t wait to try this one out 😊

Oh good timing. I am ambitiously doing my first cream cheese frosting tomorrow and I was just going to wing it, but now Preppy Kitchen has stepped in to help (today I also did the PK Vanilla cake sponge and it's the best cake sponge I've ever made).
