BMW offers the R1250RS, F900XR, S1000XR or even the K1600GT, but Yammie chooses the RT as the sport-tourer. This is madness.

For a cheaper and more accessible option than any of these, the Triumph Tiger Sport 660 is fantastic. I love it. 80 HP, adjustable wind screen, over 200 mile range, under $10k, super fun to ride

I paid $7k for my FJ09, the engine is absolutely amazing, it's far more "sport" than "touring", and I just took a 3700 mile round trip from Austin to the west coast and back...you really can't beat the overall value for dollar on it. And while most owners are in their 40s and 50s...I'm 28.

Yep, I'm old, just took delivery of a GT+, although Suzuki is having a hard time actually shipping them to dealers with the bags, but my dealer will install them for free once their supply chain issues are sorted. 50 years of riding, bike #7, and I couldn't be happier with the combination of performance, comfort and style.

My first bike is a sport touring bike. Bandit 1200s. Wouldn't recommend it for other beginners, but it does handle beautifully

Honestly I can't believe you ignored the FJR 1300 and the Kawasaki Concours 14. I mean they're kind of iconic at this point. And both are still available.

Heck yeah, glad to see the Tracer 900. I have the 2015 FJ-09 which is what the early version was called in the states. Honestly if you don't mind skipping out on a little bit of tech, the 2015 can usually be bought at a good bargain in comparison. Only thing I will say is I did not like the stock fueling, had to fix that asap.

I’ve been eyeing sport tourers lately as a new option for me and my wife to take on weekend trips. The hayabusa I own is fun, but I’m really wanting something with a tad bit more comfort for 2 riders. Having a partner who enjoys riding with me is a blessing. Thanks for doing so many videos on such a wide array of bikes, makes researching a breeze and I appreciate the no BS reviews.

Ninja 1000sx is the answer!
(I don't actually care what the question is)

edit: the bmw 1250RS is a sport tourer; the RT is just a tourer

I am currently eyeing cf gt650. Tried it not too long ago and it felt just right (currently riding a fz1s 2007)

I felt that comment about rolling the dice. My current daily developed a problem with the engine deciding to die during movement. Nothing like a bike trying to kill you while passing semi trucks to get the blood flowing. Lol

It's outdated, but the Kawasaki Concours 14 is a great tourer and affordable to get. I love mine.

I saw one of those MV Agustas at a bike meet I went to a few weeks back and it was beautiful. I LOVE the look of the brutale and if I had the money for a brand I don't know where to get serviced and looked after it'd be the brutale.

The Super Duke GT is only on temporary hiatus, will probably be back next year on the new super duke platform. I demoed one a few years back, it's literally just a super duke with more wind protection and a bigger tank, same insane torque monster motor and giant supermoto personality. One that belongs on the list. Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX, the H2-SX's little (and significantly less expensive) brother, very similar specs to the Suzuki, but slightly cheaper.

To be honest, if I were shopping for a sport touring bike from BMW, I'd choose the S1000XR over the R1250RT. You get a bike with a smoother, more powerful engine that is lighter and has almost the same tech package.

Felt that opening stereotype in my soul more than I should have.
