TOP TIP: When playing at night time and getting rushed in a building, turn on a flashlight and place looking towards the door then sit in the opposite corner. 9/10 they will look at the area behind the flashlight first.

I think it's to show that the infected can smell non infected even if they can't see them.

Bonussss tip!! You can hide in a bush when an infected is looking for you (before going aggressive) and they won't see you even if looking right at you.

An additional tip if you have something in your hand that you can't carry in your inventory or if you're doing something else, for example hunting medium to large game ranging from deer, boar, elk, or bear, if you have a full set or 2 of rags in your inventory, craft 1 of the 2 options the improvised torso wrappings or improvised leg wrappings as temporary containers for your loose items. Do remember that deconstructing the improvised pieces of clothing consume 2 of the 6 required to make each of the 2 pieces.

The crafting a bone knife by using any rock texture in the game and the morning/night finishing yields 2x the chance of catching fish is new to me thanks man!

Some door ways allow you to place the fireplace in the door way. While most of the fire is outside, it still counts it as inside from the rain, but outside to get it lit.

Bro foot wraps are my absolute go to! Generally I main the feet, face, and hand wraps versus their actual counterparts. Especially with simply needing more rags to repair them this saving your sewing kits and leather repair kits for your bags and plates.

Crafting bone knifes just from about any rocks you find is amazing!! That and also the foot wraps! Both of those is gonna be very useful to know about when I start playing DayZ more to get better

When you light the fire in the rain you just move back a bit when he animation starts and I never take damage. Made plenty fires on the ice sheets in blizzards haha. Didnt know about the fish one or being able to use a boulder to craft the new bone knife so I guess I have to like haha.
