The Reverse Plank is a staple in the OPEX Move Assessment.⁠

A few things we look for:⁠
✅ Retraction maintained ⁠
✅ Left to right symmetry⁠
✅ Shoulders held in extension⁠
✅ Straight line from ankles to shoulders⁠
✅ 60 second hold⁠

This assessment provides great insight into a client’s abilities in the pull pattern: can they retract their scapula or not? If not, they will have difficulty performing upper body pulling exercises, and they’ll need to first develop motor control in the pattern.⁠
