Even my Asian family dont do this. We do however, include receipts for some of the gifts. This way, if they already have it or would like a different brand/model, they can do so. Like say, hairdrying set. I personally try to exclude people that regifts gifts out of my life. If you dont value the fact that I tried to be thoughtful with my gift, then I dont need your hand me downs. That, or I just give them random gift cards. Reuse it, whatever, idgaf.
